How Lenghty Are You Willing To Make This Lent??????????

I welcome you all to beautiful new week, full of possibilities.
 This week is indeed special...........do you know why?

Ash Wednesday

Yes...............am sure you all know now.

The Ash Wednesday is indeed a way for us to remember that from dust we emanated and to dust we shall all return.The first Christians observed with great devotion the days of our Lord's passion and resurrection, and it became the custom of the church to engage in complete abstinence and fasting during this period.

But the  BIG QUESTION is..................how much will you do for Christ this period?
Will you gear,boo,mock and crucify him once again or will you walk with him to salvation?

The Ash Wednesday ushers us into a wonderful period of sober reflection and total submission to our creator in a total number of forty (40) days which lands to Good Friday, Holy Saturday and finally Easter Sunday.

Many Christian are known for their penitenceduring this period, though Christ fasted for forty days and night not everyone can do this.............but we are still expected to fast.

Your choice of fast/Abstinence should be suitable to your well-being. 

If you wish , you can do the Daniel's Fast [white fast......no oil intake],

Juice Fast [No solid food],

Absolute Fast [Dry Fast.......no form of food or juice but water can be taken],

Normal Fast [One can take whatever they wish, after end of fast].

Whichever one you are willing to embark on, remember to pray without ceasing thereby freeing your heart and mind from any form of grudge or sin that may cause hindrance or unanswered prayer.
